School of Indian Legal Thought is the state`s premier university department, launching BBA. LL.B (Hons.) Program. In addition to providing first-degree legal education, the school offers postgraduate and research programs. For a program to be recognized for further education or profession, it must be approved by a university or professional council. The university campus is located in the hills of Priyadarsini, Athirampuzha, 13 kilometers from Kottayam railway station and 4 kilometers from Ettumanoor. To reach the campus, take the M.C. Road exit at Ettumanoor or Gandhi Nagar. The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport in Nedumbassery, Cochin, which is about 80 km away. Private buses to Ernakulam depart from Nagampadom Bus Station at the northern end of the platform at Kottayam Station at the university. It is located 13 km from Kottayam City.

[2] Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), commonly known as MG University, is a public university located in Kottayam, Kerala, India. It was founded on October 2, 1983 on the day of Gandhi Jayanti. [2] Mahatma Gandhi University (formerly Gandhiji University) has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. The university has about 300 affiliated colleges spread across five districts in central Kerala.

The number of students admitted to the course is limited to fifty. Admission to the course is governed by the laws, rules, regulations and notices in effect at that time and issued by the government, the university and other legal authorities. A person who has obtained a bachelor`s degree from this university or another university recognized as equivalent by that university in a discipline with at least 45% of the overall grades (42% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST) may apply for admission to the three-year unitary LL.B program. The School of Indian Legal Thought at Mahatma Gandhi University was established in 1989 to provide integrated legal education with unique undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes. One of the main objectives of the school is to conduct systematic research and study of law with a dynamic and ever-evolving curriculum and through innovative interdisciplinary research. The LL.B program lasts three years and lasts six semesters. Each semester consists of six sessional work. The total number of tasks in the course includes, among other additional papers, twenty compulsory papers, six optional papers, and four practical training tasks, each carrying one hundred points, as prescribed by the Bar Council of India. The LL.B course takes place every working day, including Saturdays from 4pm to 9pm.

However, the time during the sixth semester of the course is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every business day. CARLIS covers two main areas; Library and information science and their applications using technologies developed in related fields. CARLIS has been offering PhD programs since 2010 and the research areas are content management, digital archiving, multimedia resources, information management, information economics, information infrastructure, IPR issues, knowledge warehousing, language technologies, open access protocols, resource sharing networks, etc. Accreditation is a process in which the quality of a program is usually verified and certified by an external academic body. It validates and certifies that the academic processes practiced within an institute are robust and relevant. School of Indian Legal Thought is located in a beautiful location in Nattasserry, five kilometers from the city of Kottayam. Explanation – Applicants who have obtained 10+2 or a degree/postgraduate directly through the open university system, without having a basic qualification to pursue such studies, are not eligible for admission to the Faculty of Law.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, 49th in India[6] and 30th among universities in 2020. [8] The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is a three-year (6-semester) full-time program offered by the School of Indian Legal Thought at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It is designed as a national center and will initially have an advisory board consisting of Indian and foreign experts, an honorary director, experts from various fields of knowledge management as professors. The research of the CARL affiliate team developed the Digital Library software package with Indian literature search mechanisms used in Gandhi University`s online thesis library, the first official open access archive for doctoral theses from Indian universities.
